Charles Tyrwhitt - Introducing Microsoft Copilot Across a National Retail Business

How IQIT introduced Microsoft Copilot at Charles Tyrwhitt with practical Copilot Essentials training aligned to the retailer's AI policies and everyday work.

Charles Tyrwhitt is a British menswear retailer with stores across the UK, a growing US presence and a major distribution centre in Milton Keynes. We already knew the business well through our Excel and PowerPoint training programme.

As interest in AI grew across the business, Charles Tyrwhitt wanted to give staff a practical introduction to Microsoft Copilot that focused on real-world value rather than technical theory. The objective was to help employees understand how AI could support their daily work and to encourage responsible adoption across Microsoft 365, in line with the company's own AI policies.

We developed and delivered a tailored Copilot Essentials programme aligned with Charles Tyrwhitt's AI policies, business objectives and working practices. In our Copilot Adoption Programme, this is Stage 2: foundational training that gives everyone a shared, confident starting point.

Built around real work

Sessions combined AI awareness, prompting techniques, practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises in the Microsoft 365 applications staff already use. The focus stayed on practical application, helping people see where Copilot could add value within their own day-to-day responsibilities rather than demonstrating features for their own sake.

Support beyond the session

To support long-term adoption, every participant received training materials, session recordings and follow-up resources, so they could keep developing their skills after the session ended.

Staff gained a clear understanding of Microsoft Copilot, confidence in using AI responsibly and practical techniques they could apply straight away across Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft 365 applications.

The programme gave the business a consistent foundation for AI adoption and helped people see Copilot as a practical tool for their own work rather than a technology trend.
